FAQs

Who is eligible?

Any campus freshman student starting classes for the first time at GBSC in fall 2025. To receive the CWS students will need to complete both the FAFSA and Endowed Scholarship Application. Off-campus students will need to take at least 9 credits to be eligible for the CWS.

Can international students receive the CWS?

International students desiring I-20s are encouraged to apply for the Wingrove Taylor Legacy Scholarship as the CWS is one year only and will not meet I-20 financial requirements.

Can transfer students receive the scholarship?

Transfer students starting classes for the first time at GBSC in fall 2025 will receive the CWS for one semester.

What is covered by the CWS?

The CWS covers all remaining campus tuition after Pell grants, endowed scholarships, and other governmental aid has been applied.

What is not covered by the CWS?

Students will still be responsible to pay room, board, and fees. For more information on GBSC college expenses check out our college calculator. Some campus classes may have limited seating so we encourage students to register early.

Does this include online classes?

The CWS only covers classes taken on campus. Campus students will be charged the standard tuition rate for any online classes.

How do I pay for room, board, and fees?

GBSC students can earn approximately $2,100 per semester through GBSC’s student work program toward these expenses. Also, visit GBSC’s financial aid page for information on additional aid.
