Elementary Teacher
Elementary Teacher
Supervisor: Academy Principal
Supervises: Student Aid if applicable
Responsibilities
- Maintain a clean and attractive classroom.
- Teach classes as assigned by the principal.
- Attend weekly staff and prayer meetings.
- Keep track of attendance, tardies, and assist in making sure students are dressed according to the dress code.
- Keep parents informed of students’ academic progress.
- Attend all school functions both for Academy and College.
- Keeping daily records for Mandated Reimbursement Program.
- Attend professional development seminars, etc.
- Develop and maintain a positive role model both spiritually and professionally toward colleagues, parents, and students.
Qualifications
- A bachelor’s degree (required), an advanced degree (preferred).
- Classroom management s

- A willingness to follow directions from administration,
- A thorough understanding of a Christian philosophy of teaching,
- The ability to remain calm under pressure and to be flexible,
- An ability to work with parents and students of various backgrounds,

Middle School / Secondary Teacher
Middle School / Secondary Teacher
Supervisor: Academy Principal
Supervises: Student aides if applicable
Basic Function: Serve as a teacher of a Middle School / Secondary Classroom
Responsibilities
The duties of the Middle School / Secondary Teacher include the following:
- Maintain a clean and attractive classroom.
- Teach classes as assigned by the principal.
- Attend weekly staff and prayer meetings.
- Keep track of attendance, tardies, and assist in making sure students are dressed according to dress code.
- Keep parents informed of students’ academic progress.
- Attend all school functions both for Academy and some College events.

Secondary Administrative Assistant
Secondary Administrative Assistant
Supervisor: Academy Principal
Supervises: none
Basic Function: The ACA Secondary Administrative Assistant manages the secondary office and all of the duties listed below.
Responsibilities
- HS/MS attendance
- Email sent out by 9 a.m. with days attendance and updated throughout the day with tardies/dismissals
- HS/MS tardy slips
- Answer phones/questions
- Be present in HS office
- Get students for early dismissals, half days etc…
- HS locker info
- Locker assignments
- Codes
- Create/Communicate alternate schedules
- Attend MS/HS faculty meetings
- Keep/update MS/HS student files
- Record tally information
- Keep record of levels reached by hs/ms students
- Assign consequences from levels reached according to the handbook
- Communication of Flames events
- Flames accounts
- Flames paperwork
- Monitor Fundraising accounts
- Monitor dress code issues
- Counseling (spiritual/social)
- Help with organization of HS events
